Summer is just around the corner and we are pleased to present you the new Kurru Kurru
summer collection of designer Marinela Cifteli. The summer is going to be hot and that's why
the elegant and seductive dresses, skirts, trousers, blouses and corsages from the Kurru
Kurru studio are the perfect outfits for all occasions when a woman wants to feel special and
sexy.
Kurru Kurru Fashion stands for extravagance with a provocative touch. "I grew up under
communism where everyone had to wear the same shoes and the same clothes. I think
that's why my fashion is so extraordinary. It's created for courageous women who want to
dance with their style a bit out of line”, explains the Ibiza based designer.
The new collection is distinguished by beautiful fabrics and natural materials like silk and
leather, feminine cuts and that special "something". This year's motto is "Jackie Monroe &
Co...” and who wants to get an impression, has several opportunities in the upcoming weeks:
On Wednesday, 1st of June, Kurru Kurru is presented in cooperation with MIA Models and
Make Up School Munich at the opening of the noble Beach Club Pura Vida in Cala Niu Blau,
Santa Eulalia (Ibiza) with a fashion show, celebrating also the opening of the beach boutique
that will offer elegant Kurru Kurru fashion and "Optica La Mar" sunglasses throughout the
summer.
On Monday, 20th of June, will be another fashion show with Kurru Kurru at Agroturismo
Atzaró (Ibiza), including also the latest collection of hat-designer Julia Cranz and pieces of
Vanina Lefebre. The well-known DJ Bruno from Ibiza is creating the musical background and
who wants can enjoy the Atzaró dinner or a cocktail in the garden lounge before the show
starts at 22:00. In the Atzaró Boutique you find all the fashion pieces to buy.

The time has finally come to spread the Kurru Kurru wings and invite you to our first show in Germany. It will be held on the 3rd of December at Rudas Studios in Düsseldorf. The event will be an Ibiza style night with a show to remember. Kurru Kurru will continue the tradition of going against mainstream media expectations and try to leave an impact on the audience. The theme is “no HUNGERHAKEN!” where the word hungerhaken refers to the skinny twiggy-style models we see each day. Marinela and Kurru Kurru have prepared a controversial theme for the evening and hope to get the message out that fashion is for all women. No matter what you look like you can always look good, and in this case look better than the models facing you. The preparations are going on as we speak to make a spectacular show and the event will be covered by German television channel RTL, NTV, Fashion TV and local newspapers and magazines. The show will also feature Maxim December covergirl and moderator Nena Ristic, Playmate Daria Espert and models Bianca Schumacher, Anne-kathrin Wendlers and Ira Meidl from the hit program Germany’s Next Top Model. Also top DJ’s Tube & Berger, Juliet Sikora, Gauthier DM and Iban Mendoza - resident DJ from Ibiza Global Radio.

Kurru Kurru conquers Europe
It was a great summer on Ibiza featuring great fashion shows with positive feedback from friends and press but it is now time to go global. We feel that conquering the island was the best stepping stone we could have asked for and we will start our world tour in Germany at the end of November. The cities featured in the first leg of the tour are Düsseldorf, Frankfurt and Stuttgart so if you find yourself in any of these cities this winter do not hesitate to drop by and show your support and also experience a mind blowing event. The shows in Germany will be hot after-work happenings with lots of impressions and provocative statements.
The theme is No Hungerhaken! In German hungerhaken is a word that describes girls that are too skinny, twiggy-style, close to starvation. These girls are plastered all over the media representing and also misleading the world into believing that this is how women are supposed to look like today. Kurru Kurru fashion is inspired by Ibiza's unique nightlife and its special people and its declared aim is to create extravagant and feminine designs for self-confident, strong and grounded women. The events held in Germany will bring forth a clear message: True fashion for True women! And as usual Kurru Kurru will do everything in its power to make them nights to remember.

FABIAN BUSSMANN – SOMETIMES I’M INVISIBLE (DEBOX004) AUGUST 1, 2009

Almost two years after his highly acclaimed debut, Fabian Bussmann is back with a release on DEBOX.
And the waiting was worthwhile! Sometimes I’m Invisible is a remarkable piece of work and shows an recognizable advancement in Fabians production skills. “Or Else” on the A- side is predestinated to be played on a big sound system. Dark, athmospeheric, reverberated with lots of freaky delays and effects and equipped with a powerful bassline the track creates a tension that will surely massively discharge on the dancefloors this summer. The remix on the B- side was created by Bastian Buesser who recently attracted a lot of attention with his releases on DEBOX and Endlich Elektro. Buessers interpretation of the track is a deeper, more playful approach of the theme. Without touching the basic structure of the track he constructs a more relaxed, athomospheric vibe, taking back the tempo and adding a new bassline to the adaption. The title track “Sometimes I’m Invisible” clearly distinguishes from the the A- side and presents a different side of Fabians work coming along with a groovy bassline and lots of percussive elements… but listen for yourselves:

What was supposed to be originally a small private small show became a seated event for 200 guests and 100 standing. With celebrity attendance of James Blunt and Sabina Vidal, Skin and Gary Dourdan and a special tribute to the late Michael Jackson, the show was as close to a NY fashion show as Ibiza can get. The show had to be delayed by a very fashionable hour and a half as people arrived in droves.
